Auto-Negotiation & Link Training (ANLT)
ANLT provides a comprehensive solution for testing and analyzing the auto-negotiation and link training capabilities of network devices. It is designed to facilitate both the provisioning of traffic test setups (Basic ANLT) and the in-depth testing of the ANLT protocol itself (Advanced ANLT).
Basic ANLT allows users whose test objective is not to test the ANLT protocol itself, but rather to provision the traffic test setup.
Advanced ANLT allows users, on top of provisioning the traffic test setup, to test the ANLT protocol itself, including its negotiation and training capabilities, manually drive the link training protocol exchange sequence step-by-step, configure tap ranges and responses, change presets, as well as to debug and analyze the protocol behavior.
Important
Basic ANLT and Advanced ANLT use different command sets. Avoid using two different command sets in the same test script, as this may lead to unexpected behavior.
