SYNC
code: 253
# set
SYNC <on_off>
Description
Some query commands e.g. P_FULLCONFIG ?
, PR_ALL ?
, etc. return multiple lines, each of which terminated by a \r\n
. It can be hard for the client to know which line is the end of the response. By SYNC ON
, the CLI server on the chassis will send <SYNC>
at the end of the response so the client and rely on it to mark the end of the response. This can be useful when you want to use CLI for automation.
Note
<SYNC>
is designed to mark the end of query responses. For set operation, you should rely on the status message e.g. <OK>
as the end of the operation.
Actions
